Hanan Badr el-Din, Egypt

Take action to campaign for Hanan Badr el-Din, an imprisoned Egyptian woman who faces charges simply for searching for her missing husband.

When Hanan Badr el-Din’s husband disappeared in July 2013, her life changed for good.

Her relentless search for him led her to others whose loved ones were taken by the Egyptian security forces. Now a leading voice exposing Egypt’s hundreds of disappeared, her latest search for information about her husband has seen her arrested on false charges which could mean five years in prison.

Tell Egypt to drop all charges and free Hanan immediately and unconditionally.
