WA Womens Rights Group

We are a diverse group of women who aim to address discrimination against women in a fun and empowering way.

The Women’s Rights Group is specifically focusing on the issue of violence against women and its impact on female incarceration rates of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We also aim to educate ourselves about the intersecting categories of oppression.

The WA Women’s Urgent Action Network focuses on cases specific to women’s rights.

The Urgent Action Women’s Network letters are processed in the office each week, and members of the network are asked to write appeals to the responsible authorities on behalf of the victims.

The WA Amnesty LGBTIQ Action Group campaigns to defend the rights of gender, sex and sexuality diverse people in Australia and around the world.

WA Health Urgent Action Network

The Urgent Actions Health Network focuses on particular cases of oppression which are issued by the Amnesty International Secretariat in London.
